Room 208 – Upstairs Corner Suite – Up to 4 Guests

4 guests | 1 bedroom | 2 beds | 1 bath

This corner suite retains a lot of the building’s original charm, wonderful natural light, and a great floor plan with a pass-through bathroom. It has a king bed and a queen sofa sleeper. The bathroom features the original claw foot bathtub, with a shower conversion kit. It’s charming, but we don’t recommend it for anyone with balance or mobility issues. Can accommodate up to 4 people.

It’s nicely located, just adjacent to our popular shared view deck.
The kitchens are fully equipped with everything you need for dining and cooking.

THE SPACE
The Clarkdale Lodge is an historic building that was built in 1914 and originally used as a boarding house for unmarried employees of the local copper smelter. It was subsequently converted into apartments which we are now modernizing to a high standard while preserving historic details where possible. All apartments are tastefully furnished and have HDTV’s in both sitting and bedrooms. High speed Internet access is provided throughout via WiFi, and kitchens are fully equipped and ready to use.

The deck you see in the photos is a large shared area accessed from the upstairs hall. It has gorgeous views and makes a perfect place to sit and have a glass of wine in the early evenings. There is a shaded patio area underneath it on the ground floor for when the weather is too warm to sit in the sun.

GUEST ACCESS
In addition to the apartment you are staying in, all guests have access to a public sitting area upstairs stocked with books and games, and a second story view deck overlooking the Verde Valley.

NEIGHBORHOOD
Only a 10 minute drive to historic (and happening) towns of Jerome, Old Town Cottonwood, and red rocks of Sedona, Clarkdale itself offers the Verde Canyon Railroad, river rafting, wine tasting, restaurants, neighborhood bars, a bakery/cafe, and museums!

Sunny upstairs corner apartment adjoining the shared view deck, with terrific Jerome and canyon views. King bed and a queen sofa sleeper, along with a small but fully equipped kitchen, and dining nook. Can accommodate up to 4 people. Compact, but with all the conveniences and comforts.

Right in the middle of all the action. . . However, this is Clarkdale so the action is pretty subdued. Charming modernized historic apartment that faces Jerome and Mingus Mountain as well as being right next to the inviting shared view deck, which faces Sycamore Canyon, to the north.

The kitchens are fully equipped with everything you need for dining and cooking.

Wonderful apartemnt with full kitchen and living area, near the upstairs reading room and shared view deck. King bed and a fold out futon, in the living area. Tiled shower, no tub. Can accommodate up to 3 people. Funky and fun decor.

Cool and comfortable second floor apartment in a renovated historic building. This one bedroom apartment feels like you’ve stepped into 1963, only with air conditioning, WiFi, and a microwave. The bathroom is spacious, and the bed king sized, and there’s a futon for one more person, besides. Mix yourself a cocktail in the fully equipped kitchen and relax in your sitting room; move the communal deck later when the sun is setting. This is the spot for a relaxing escape from the rat race.

We are located midway between Old Town Cottonwood and Jerome (just 4 miles from both). Clarkdale is an historic mining town that once housed the smelter for the Jerome mines. Sedona is an easy 25 minute drive, and Prescott just an hour away.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets).

The kitchens are fully equipped with everything you need for dining and cooking.

We don’t actually know enough about the art of feng shui, if anything, we think this suite is deserving of that label.

Inviting second floor apartment, with a commodious living area, serene bedroom, and a lovely bright bathroom. Near the guest reading room, and the shared view deck. Abundant light, with terrific Jerome and mountain views. King bed and a queen sofa sleeper. Can accommodate up to 4 people.
